Title |
Real-time Collaborative Document Editing on Touch-Pad Devices |
Supervisor |
Dr. Samar Abdi |
Description |
We have seen a recent explosion of tablet computers in the consumer electronics market, such as Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Blackberry Playbook, amongst others. Most of these tablet computers are designed for media consumption, gaming and social networking. However, creating new content, both individually and collaboratively, is still missing. The goal of the project is to develop a hardware/software system to collaboratively create or add new content, such as drawings and hand-written annotations, in real-time. We will be designing this system using an off-the-shelf resistive screen and an x86 based embedded platform, running Linux. |
