Title |
Human-Robot Communication Through Voice Command |
Supervisor |
Dr. Wei-Ping Zhu, Mr. Sujan Kumar Roy |
Description |
To build a robot that can perform natural communication like human through voice command is a challenging task and has many real applications. In recent years, a great deal of progress has been made in robotics for industrial and surveillance applications. The goal of this project is to implement a complete Speech Controlled Autonomous System (SCAS) where a robot can recognize voice commands and perform the desired action as specified in the command. The main focus of this project is a simple demonstration for man-machine communication system where a machine can understand human commands and behave accordingly. More specifically, the designated robot will understand and synthesize human speech for communication. For example, the designated voice command sets will include but not limited to "start, stop, left, right, forward, backward, speed up, slow down" etc. |
