Title |
RC Tiltrotor Aircraft |
Supervisor |
Dr. Luis Rodrigues |
Description |
The goal of the project is to design and build a battery powered radio controlled tiltrotor aircraft that will incorporate pivoting helicopter rotors embedded in the wings to allow for vertical/short take-off or landing (V/STOL). It aims at eliminating the use of a runway without compromising flying speed. The aircraft must be fully controlled in terms of height, speed, turning angle, and stability, in order to be able to vertically lift and land like a helicopter and fly like an airplane. |
