Title |
Home Automation Using Communication Over Power Lines |
Supervisor |
Dr. Reza Soleymani |
Description |
The goal of this project is to develop a device capable of communication over AC powerline. This device is intended to be placed in home electrical outlets and thermostats for use in home automation. These devices will communicate over AC powerline to a central server connected to the same AC power. To control and interface with the devices, an application is placed on this central server. Through this application, the end user may view metrics such as power consumption and has the ability to shut off devices as desired. The implementation of this application may be done as a web app to make it accessible by any mobile device and computer. |
