Title |
Kinect Controlled Quad-copter |
Supervisor |
Dr. A. Ben Hamza, Dr. Khorasani |
Description |
With the growing popularity of drones, their applications are slowly making their way into our everyday lives. Being a relatively new technology, at least to the public, the user interface is not very inviting. The students working on this project will simplify the experience and introduce a motion sensing interface. The user will be able to communicate with the drone using gestures, which will be captured by the Microsoft kinect sensor. The students will have to consider how to convert the sensor data into commands that can be executed by an aircraft, as well as how to transmit these commands at a distance. The objective of the project is to successfully complete a working prototype.
