Title |
Personal Service Robot |
Supervisor |
Dr. K. Khorasani |
Description |
This robot is built on the idea of a line following robot but with the restriction that, that line needs to be visible on the surface. The idea would be to replace the line with RFID tags placed in a path. These tags would be mapped to a node map that the robot would be able to use to navigate through predetermined paths made with RFID tags. The tags would be placed at certain intervals along a straight path and at points along the path where a turn would be needed.
The robot would also be able to detect obstructions and be able to navigate around them. The goal of this robot would be traverse through a path without the intervention or aid of a human controller. By adding the ability to carry a load, this robot would be made into a transport robot capable of moving a cargo from a start point to a destination. |
