Title |
DiPill Distribution Automation |
Supervisor |
Dr. B. Lynch |
Description |
The project aims to reduce the time required to prepare DisPills, which are periodic disposable pillboxes. Currently, technicians in most pharmacies are required to fill up the Dispills by distributing every pill individually into the proper compartment of the pillbox.
The proposed system will aim at reducing the time required for their preparation by automating the process. It will take as inputs the medication profile of a patient over a specific period as well as the pills that they require. The system will then properly distribute the pills into the DisPill according to the given client profile.
This project will involve the design of mechanical systems, electrical components, a control system, a database and a software interface.
