| Description |
With the increasing awareness concerning environmental effects such as global warming, energy efficiency has come into question. A growing attention is being paid by the energy sectors and government authorities to the electrical efficiency of devices. On the present day, solutions to reduction of wasted energy have become a popular issue. Studies are conducted to show that the standby power of any electronic device has a significant contribution to the total energy consumption at home.
The project will consist of a mobile application connected through a device to be placed in the household electrical panel which will monitor the energy consumption. The device will deliver accurate data helping the user decrease its power consumption through a friendly user interface monitoring each main appliances. The main objective is to make the user aware of the distribution of their household power consumption and offer tips to reduce energy waste.
