Title |
Electromechanical bicycle groupset |
Supervisor |
G. Cowan |
Description |
An electromechanical shifting mechanism for bicycles which uses electric motors and
cable tension sensors to add and remove tension in the cables allowing to shift up and down the gears. This system would allow for a better shifting experience for bike riders. With this kind of shifting system, it would be possible to implement an automatic transmission, which would eliminate the need for bike riders to switch gears on their own. |
