Title Industrial Curing Oven and Control System

Description We are to design and manufacture an industrial oven to be used by our client Finition MPC INC. The oven must maintain a temperature within 5 degrees of the required temperature it is set to. The controller must control a three phase 600V heating element, a 600V 1 horsepower exhaust fan and an air recirculation fan to maintain a stable temperature. A HMI is required to control and monitor the oven. The HMI’s functions are to set the parameters for the oven’s heating cycle, to monitor the cycle, to calibrate the sensors, and to maintain a record of the parameters during a cycle. The oven should also have IOT capabilities such as the ability to be monitored and controlled remotely via a mobile application and or webpage.
Student Requirement • Knowledge of high voltage power distribution systems • Knowledge of programming a PLC • Knowledge of analog signal amplification for temperature readings • Knowledge of HMI design • Software to store and manage temperature data of ovens • Software to control and monitor the state of the oven wirelessly.
