Title |
Automatic Pill Dispenser |
Supervisor |
W. Lynch, A. Mohammadi (CIISE) |
Description |
As people grow older, they are exposed to several health conditions that require them to take
certain pills daily. However, when one has more than 5 prescribed medications, it can be difficult
to remember which pill to take at what time, especially with old age memory issues. With the
Automatic Pill Dispenser, the pills will automatically be presented to the user at the prescribed
time of the day. Once pills are dropped for consumption, an alarm goes off and can only be turned
off once the user presses a button on the product. This product will also be accompanied by an
application, which will allow the caregiver to set all the pills to be taken and their respective
consumption time. The application will also let its users know when the pills are running out. It
will also allow its users to purchase different compartments for different pill sizes. The product
will be capable of handling pills of different sizes. |
