| Essay:CRDBER: Database structureThis web site is the HTML representation of a database of references. There are mainly 3 tables: reference, concept, and, essay. Reference: collection of many articles on paper and online; concept: subject index with a relaxed structure; and, essay: good articles from our staffs and from the web, and host for links to internet.
The tables are linked together closely. Concept to concept, including sub concept and sup concept; concept to reference, concept to essay, reference to essay, and essay to essay. All the relations are reversible. In database terminology, the CC, CR, CE and RE relations are many-to-many relations; and each requires one separate table to implement (except that the EE relation is implemented by a text field in the essay table to contain keys of other essays).
There are some other tables and relations in the database. The following chart shows the relationship displayed by Access.
