Title Using Passive and Active UHF RFID for tracking objects
Supervisor Dr. Amin Hammad (CIISE)
Description RFID technology has many advantages over bar codes for identifying and tracking objects. The objectives of this project are: (1) Study the characteristics of different RFID tags. (2) Develop a prototype software system to communicate the information collected by the RFID reader to/from a database using an API. (3) Test the system in a case study about managing the fire hydrants and other critical objects in the EV building. The students (3-4) will work with a graduate student doing research about the same topic.
