Title Creating a MIDI-controlled analog synth
Supervisor Dr. William Lynch
Description The goal of the project is to build an analog electronic instrument, a "synthesizer" with digital control signals. The output is an analog signal that a user can hook up to any standard audio amplifier. MIDI, which stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface, is a digital protocol widely used for implementing digital control over many devices in the music industry, including instruments. Additionally, the synthesizer will come with a gesture input detection mechanism, thus allowing the user to use hand motions to control the synth, for a more attracting performance.
