Title |
Automated Mobile 3D Printer Robot |
Supervisor |
K. Skonieczny |
Description |
The objective of this project is to develop a 3D printing robot that is capable of printing objects larger than the printer’s nominal workspace. It will involve hardware and mechatronic design of a mobility system for an existing 3D printer, as well as supporting electronics (e.g. motor drivers). Control of the mobility will be developed in software and high-level automation will be developed to integrate motion control with the system’s existing sensing and state estimation sub-systems.
