Test 2 will be held at the usual class time (1:15-2:30) in MB 3.210. This is the John Molson Building. Be there early as you might need to look for the classroom.

(1) Test 2 will be on November 17 at the usual class time (1:15 - 2:30).
(2) My office hours on November 15 will be from 9 am to 10 am instead of 10-11.

1. Test 1 will be held in two rooms. Here is the seating plan:
id < 6300000 in Room H-459 (our usual classroom)
id >= 6300000 in Room H-427
No calculators or other materials are allowed. Bring only your pen and pencil.
Hi 2. Test 1 will cover everything we have done in class so far, including functions and the one-to-one and onto properties of functions.

1. Test 1 is a week from today. Be prepared!
2.Today's office hours are cancelled. I'll hold office hours instead on Wednesday October 12, from 10-11, and on Friday October 14, from 10-11 a.m.

1. Assignment 1 is available here .
2. There will be a clicker quiz on contrapositive, converse, and inverse in class today. The quiz is not for credit but you can assess yourself on these definitions and concepts.

September 13, 2011

1. The classroom has been moved to H-459. Let's hope it's a better classroom!

2. The Rosen textbook has a lot of problems in every section and provides brief solutions to odd-numbered problems at the end of the book. Doing lots of problems is an effective way of studying for this course. I have compiled a smaller list of problems from the book that is a representative selection.

3. From today, clicker participation points will be counted for credit. Remember to bring your clicker to class.
