"IBPSA provides a forum for researchers, developers and practitioners to foster new developments, encourage the development and proliferation of software programs throughout the industry, address standardization, accelerate integration and promote technology transfer.
The International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) was founded in 1986 to advance and promote the science of building performance simulation in order to improve the design, construction, operation and maintenance of new and existing buildings worldwide. Previous conferences in Vancouver, Canada (1989), Nice, France (1991), Adelaide, Australia (1993), Madison, USA (1995), Prague, Czech Republic (1997), Kyoto, Japan (1999) and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2001) have contributed to this goal." eSim 2001: The Canadian conference on building energy simulation
eSim 2006, Canada
he bi-annual conference of IBPSA-Canada is being organized to bring together professionals, academics and students interested in building performance simulation issues and applications. It will be held in Toronto, Canada on May 4 and 5, 2006 (pre-conference workshops May 3, 2006) at the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design (al&d) located within the downtown campus of the University of Toronto.

"IBPSA 2003 Conference which was held from 11 to 14 August 2003 in Eindhoven. The conference which was run under the theme "Simulation for better building design", was the eighth conference in a series of double blind peer reviewed conferences hosted by International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) since 1989 when the first conference was organized in Vancouver (1989). IBPSA-Canada organizes the eSim 2002 Conference, the Canadian conference dedicated to building simulation. The conference will be held in Montreal, Canada September 12-13, and will be hosted by the Centre for Building Studies of Concordia University.
The themes of the conference are:
- Recent developments for modelling the physical processes relevant to buildings (thermal, air flow, moisture, lighting).,

The Canadian conference on building energy simulation
The CANMET Energy Technology Centre, leaders in the development of energy simulation software for the Canadian construction industry, is organizing a small conference on the topic of building simulation. The conference will be held in Ottawa June 13-14 and is expected to draw 50-75 delegates from the architectural, engineering, university, energy utility, consulting, and government research and program delivery communities.
The themes of the conference are:
