Essay:
MVOC: microbial volatile organic compounds"Many of the fungi produce mycotoxins. These mycotoxins can be present on or in the spores whether the spore is dead or alive. Fungi also produce MVOC's (microbial volatile organic compounds). These MVOC's are responsible for moldy odors and may also contribute to health effects experienced by some individuals exposed to moldy environments. For questions regarding possible individual health effects please consult with your physician or allergist.
