Naghmeh Bandari received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Tehran, Iran. She is a Certified Medical Device Technical Supervisor within Iranian jurisdiction and served as the supervisor of Medtronic CoreValve ® therapy development team in Iran for four years. Naghmeh is currently a Ph.D candidate of Mechanical Engineering at the Optical-Bio MEMS, and Robotic Surgery Labs at Concordia University. She is also a surgical innovation fellow in NSERC CREATE Innovation at the Cutting-Edge (ICE) program at McGill University. Her research focus is on the development of optical tactile sensors and optical-MEMS with the application in minimally invasive surgery.
