If you are taking this course, please send me an e-mail (mmedraj[AT]encs.concordia.ca) so that I add you to the course mailing-list. This way, you will be kept informed regarding this course. Do not forget to write "mech321-2014" in the subject line of your email

In this course you will understand the mechanical behavior of materials (and metals in particular). This will include the deformation behavior of metals and the ways that metals can fail. More importantly, you will study different methods that are used in the industry to make materials stronger. For more information, please read the course outline.

The lecture notes are not complete. You need to come to class to fill in the gaps and to gather the appropriate information.


Assignments

The final exam is on April 25 th from 2 to 5pm

Sample practice questions will be posted here. Solutions will be discussed during the tutorials. They will NOT be marked.

These questions will be used as the basis for the In-Tutorial Exercises which will take place every 2nd tutorial. They are worth 10% total.
